Your Driving Test
Your practical driving test consists of two parts the Show me/ Tell me section and the driving aspect of the driving test.
Show me/ Tell me:
You will be asked two questions on basic car maintenance in which you will have to either show the examiner what they ask of you or answer the question the examiner gives to you. You won’t fail your test if you answer these incorrectly but you will be given a minor fault against you.
We will cover them on lessons to help you understand everything.
Practical Driving:
Your driving test will be carried out at a local driving test centre, by a DSA (Driving Standards Agency) examiner.
Tests usually last around forty minutes, in which you will be asked to perform two maneuvers out of a selection of three or four (depending on the test center); reverse around a corner, parallel parking, bay parking or turn in the road. Bay parking can be an option of maneuver depending on the driving test centre. You may also be asked to perform an emergency stop, which will be at the examiners discretion.
Safe driving for life?
I do not believe that learning to drive is done after passing your test.
We train you to become SAFE drivers before you go for your test, and we hope that your driving and attitude towards driving will be maintain to the same high standards that you were taught.
